Your walk passes you through undistrubed stands of beech and rimu, around coves and inlets. The track provides stunning views down into Queen Charlotte and Kenepuru Sounds. This lush, subtropical native bush is home to many of New Zealand’s native birds including the Bellbird, Tui, the New Zealand Pigeon, Morepork and more.

This hike is an average of 5 hours of walking, Marlborough’s temperate climate allows good walking conditions for people of all ages. You will need to have an average to above-average level of fitness and be in good health to enjoy this walk. The track covers a variety of gradients with some rough surfaces.
