Pakiri Beach is just 90 minutes from downtown Auckland city, less than 2 hours from Auckland International Airport and just minutes from Matakana Coast Wine Country. Your hosts Laly and Sharley Haddon are a blended family of both Maori and European descent, and run the worlds most professional and enjoyable ocean beach ride. Listed in the worlds “100 things One Must Do Before You Die”, this operation offers a unique and personal ride along 9 miles of white sand and blue ocean.

Full Day Horse Trek

This trek will allow you to get in touch with New Zealand's culture and a better understand of it's ancient warrior ancestors who protected these lands from other tribes. Ride along the deserted sands of Pakiri Beach and through the exotic pine forests, we reach secluded fresh water lakes where you will enjoy your packed lunch and if the weather is warm, swim with your horses! After lunch we ride up over Te Arai Point returning over secret dune tracks and native bush trails. Experience the splendid isolation and beauty of this place on horseback along the pristine sands of Pakiri Beach and continue through the dunes with breathtaking views to the coastal islands.
