An overnight cruise amidst spectacular Milford Sound is a “once in a lifetime” experience.

Cruise the full length of spectacular Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea before anchoring for the night in sheltered Harrison Cove. Go exploring with our nature guide in the tender craft and kayaks. Then enjoy a delicious evening buffet meal in the spacious dining saloon, before retiring to your cabin. The Milford Mariner offer a very special dinner/Bed & Breakfast experience. Private cabins with ensuite bathroom are provided.

Day 1

When the day visitors depart a silence descends

Depart from the Milford Sound wharf in the late afternoon and cruise the full length of Milford Sound to the Tasman Sea accompanied by a specialist nature guide. The cruise style is relaxed, allowing plenty of time to view the fiord’s spectacular waterfalls, rainforest, mountains and wildlife.

The Milford Mariner then anchors in a sheltered cove, where you can join the nature guide and explore in the vessel’s tender craft (small boat) and kayaks. Or, if you prefer, you can simply relax on deck.

As evening falls, enjoy a lavish carvery buffet in the dining saloon. Then relax in the company of fellow travellers or indulge in some star-gazing before retiring to your private cabin

Day 2

Wake up to the majesty of Milford Sound, fill your lungs with the sweet air that can only be tasted this far from civilization. After a hearty cooked breakfast we embark on the return journey to Te Anau. Keep a lookout for wildlife, especially fur seals basking on the rocks, dolphins playing in our wake and if you are really lucky you will spot a colony of the rare sulfur crested penguin hopping around the many rocks in this sparse location.
