Scenic Mountain Biking Walter Peak

A return scenic cruise onboard the vintage steamship the TSS Earnslaw, from Queenstown to Walter Peak is nt a bad start to this small group cycling tour. Enjoy Queenstown’s magnificent alpine scenery and escape as you cycling along a quiet back country road through tussock covered high country, and enjoying views of the Von River, surrounding mountains and snow covered Mount Earnslaw at the head of the famous Lake Wakatipu. Cyclists are accompanied a support vehicle and guide, enabling you to cycle as much or as little or as required. Then, relax a bit in this spectacular wilderness area during the picnic lunch (included, with hot drinks as well). Along the way, visit Pretty Hut and Old Nic (traditional musterers huts) and learn about surrounding high country sheep and cattle stations. On arrival back at Walter Peak, visit the Colonel’s Homestead for afternoon tea, before boarding the TSS Earnslaw for the return cruise back to Queenstown.
