Take a scenic 30 minute helicopter trip from Te Anau over the Southern Alps into Fiordland and get on board the M.V. Pembroke, at sixty feet long and sixty tones, this boat is a classic small ship with a pure Fiordland pedigree. It offers only a few the chance to experience something special with comfortable accommodation for 8 passengers with 6 single beds and 2 double beds in 3 cabins, it’s a perfect set up for diving, hunting, fishing, sightseeing or just relaxing in solitude!

The vessel not only carries dive equipment it also carries fishing rods and the foredeck and full walk around side decks offer plenty of great fishing room. Fiordland is unchanged since Maori and European history began, it truly is awe-inspiring, a place of solitude and a great New Zealand experience. Explore the remote beauty of the precipitous valley walls, hanging valleys, moss laden and brooding, glacial carved fiords along with a myriad of misty waterfalls cascading from what seems the sky!

Fishing
The Fiords hold an abundance of sea-food, for divers crayfish and scallops and for the kids with their snorkels – paua and mussels. More species include:

- Blue Cod - Hapuka - Butterfish - Skipjack
- Tarakihi - Trumpeter - Sea Perch - Grouper
- Blue Nose - Gurnard - Tuna (Off shore)

Hunting
On shore is a hunters paradise, but a challenging hunt. We wouldn’t recommend novice hunters in this area as the weather can be changeable and extreme, rivers rise and fall at alarming rates, and it requires extreme fitness and mountain knowledge. Red Deer, Wapiti, Thar and Chamois are found through the area.
